  1. Our hearing advisor will visit you to assess the situation. They take the sound values from your RI&E or measure the decibels per workplace themselves. This way, they know which filter should be used. Employees are also fitted with hearing protection. This involves making a mould of their ear canal.
  2. The prints are taken to the laboratory by our consultant. A 3D scanner is used to make a digital copy of the print. Lab staff design this copy into a final product after which it is manufactured using a 3D printer. Then the final product is finished with details. For example, a handle or detection bullet are added. It also comes with a sound channel with filter.

  3. Our hearing advisor will visit you to personally deliver the otoplastics. They provide instructions for wearing the otoplasty and check that the otoplastics do not let sound through.

  4. The otoplasty is ready to use! In case of questions or checks, the hearing consultant will visit you free of charge.

This depends on a number of factors. Which hearing protection is best for you depends on the noise situation and specific wishes:

  • What are the sound volumes in which you work?
  • How much do you wear the hearing protection?
  • Is it for permanent employees or flexible employees? flexemployees?
  • Do you work in the food industry?
  • Do you need to communicate with colleagues a lot?

So this question is best answered together with een of our hearing advisers. Every environment and situation is different and requires other features of hearing protection.

Hearing protection is mandatory when the average volume is 85 decibels or higher. Above 80 decibels, employees are entitled to have their employer provide them with hearing protection. Make sure that the hearing protection filters well! Some types of hearing protection may not be adequate for very loud sounds.

In addition to supplying hearing protection, we help companies to become aware of the risks. Many employees suffer from hearing loss. And that's a shame, because it's often easy to prevent. Therefore we provide lots of toolboxes/courses at different companies. These toolboxes are a good addition to an SCC programme.

When you wear hearing protection, you will always continue to hear sound. Sound can still pass through your skull or bone conduction come in. Your skull transmits the vibrations of sound to the auditory organ. The skull acts as a sound box. Through all surfaces, it can vibrate through your bones to your hearing organ.

Besides, it would be unsafe if you don't hear anything at all. You need your hearing to your be aware of risks. Especially alarm signals and horns should remain audible. That is why we made the sound filters so that loud noise is attenuated, but warning sounds still remain audible.

We find that our hearing protection lasts between 5 and 7 years on average. After that time, the material may not run out, but the fit will often no longer fit adequately.

Ronell findt it is important that employees are well protectedd work. That is why we periodically offer a free leak test to. This prevents false safety. We replace hearing protection only when necessary. Dat means: no standard replacement after two year by which you involuntary face high costs We first check whether the otoplastics still fit well and whether the fit is still good.
